Spanish Accents!
Now that the kIDs program has been "internationalized," there becomes a much bigger problem that most would
not have given a second thought too, and that is accents. Accents that are commonly used in Latin languages especially Spanish and
French. So how do you enter them using a normal American or English keyboard?
Well it is simpler that you may think due to Unicode Code pages, lots of information can be found at [http://www.unicode.org/], anyway
let's give you some of the keyboard key sequences needed to input some of the most common accents:
To get accent [ á ] - Press and hold the Ctrl key then press the apostrophe key, finally press the lower case letter a
To get accent [ é ] - Press and hold the Ctrl key then press the apostrophe key, finally the lower case letter e
To get accent [ í ] - Press and hold the Ctrl key then press the apostrophe key, finally the lower case letter i
To get accent [ ó ] - Press and hold the Ctrl key then press the apostrophe key, finally the lower case letter o
To get accent [ ú ] - Press and hold the Ctrl key then press the apostrophe key, finally the lower case letter u
Now for some more fun:
To get accent [ ñ ] - Press and hold the Ctrl, Shift and the Tilde keys together then press the lower case letter n
Now that you have it let's throw in these two common ones:
To get accent [ ¿ ] - Press and hold the Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys together then press the ? key
To get accent [ ¡ ] - Press and hold the Ctrl, Alt and Shift keys together then press the ! key
